Efektivitas Penegakan Aturan Tata Tertib Sekolah SMP Negeri 2 Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of enforcing school discipline rules at SMP Negeri 2 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of teachers, principals, and students involved in teaching and learning activities. The results of the study indicate that the enforcement of discipline rules at SMP Negeri 2 Telaga is not yet fully effective. This is caused by several factors such as the lack of student awareness of the importance of discipline, the weak attention of parents to children's character education, and the negative influence of the social environment and social media. In addition, the approach used by teachers in enforcing discipline is still conventional and less innovative, so it does not attract students' attention to obey the existing rules.
