Efektivitas Pembelajaran Matematika dalam Menguatkan Pemahaman Ekonomi pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Sibabangun

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of mathematics learning in strengthening students’ understanding of economics at Senior High School 1 Sibabangun. In the educational context, mathematics plays a crucial role as an analytical tool in comprehending various economic concepts. This research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with students and teachers, as well as document analysis of the existing curriculum and learning materials. The findings indicate that integrating mathematics instruction with economic content enhances students’ comprehension of key economic concepts, such as supply and demand, elasticity, and cost-benefit analysis. Furthermore, contextual and application-based learning approaches were found to increase students’ learning motivation and analytical thinking skills. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective, integrative, and relevant teaching strategies and methods in secondary education.
