Simulasi Perancangan Pembangkit Hybrid (PLTS-PLTD) Di Pulau Bungin, Kabupaten Sumbawa Menggunakan Homer

Bungin Island, located in Alas District, Sumbawa Regency, is one of the most densely populated islands in the world, with access to electricity still dependent on diesel power plants (PLTD). Increased energy demand in this region poses serious challenges, particularly in terms of high operational costs, dependence on fossil fuels, and environmental impacts. This study proposes the implementation of a hybrid energy system based on Solar Power Plants (SPP) and PLTD as a sustainable alternative solution. Through simulations using HOMER software, the system was analyzed based on key parameters such as energy efficiency, Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), and Net Present Cost (NPC). The simulation results show that integrating PLTS can increase system efficiency by 99.8% and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions. The LCOE of the hybrid system is also more competitive than that of a pure PLTD system. The practical implications of this study indicate that the hybrid system can serve as a reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly energy solution for remote areas like Bungin Island, while also supporting the achievement of national energy mix targets.
