Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran kreativitas dan inovasi dalam kewirausahaan, terutama pada konteks UMKM di Indonesia. Kreativitas dipahami sebagai kemampuan menghasilkan ide baru yang relevan dengan peluang pasar, sedangkan inovasi adalah proses transformasi ide tersebut menjadi produk, jasa, atau model bisnis bernilai tambah. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan analisis isi dan sintesis tematik dari literatur terkini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas dipengaruhi oleh faktor individual dan lingkungan sosial-organisasional, termasuk dukungan digital dan kolaborasi. Inovasi, yang mencakup inovasi produk, proses, dan model bisnis digital, menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan kelangsungan usaha, terutama di masa disrupsi seperti pandemi COVID-19. Sinergi antara kreativitas dan inovasi memperkuat keunggulan kompetitif UMKM melalui adaptasi teknologi digital dan orientasi keberlanjutan. Namun, literatur masih terbatas dalam mengungkap mekanisme psikologis dan sosial secara mendalam serta dampak kuantitatif inovasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan ekosistem yang mendukung kreativitas dan inovasi melalui pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor. Dengan demikian, kreativitas dan inovasi menjadi fondasi utama yang dapat mendorong keberhasilan dan pertumbuhan usaha dalam menghadapi tantangan pasar yang dinamis.
 
This study examines the roles of creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship, particularly within the context of SMEs in Indonesia. Creativity is understood as the ability to generate new ideas relevant to market opportunities, while innovation is the process of transforming these ideas into valuable products, services, or business models. The research employs a literature review method with content analysis and thematic synthesis of recent studies. Findings reveal that creativity is influenced by individual factors and socio-organizational environments, including digital support and collaboration. Innovation, encompassing product, process, and digital business model innovations, plays a critical role in enhancing competitiveness and business sustainability, especially amid disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The synergy between creativity and innovation strengthens SMEs’ competitive advantage through digital technology adaptation and sustainability orientation. However, existing literature remains limited in exploring the psychological and social mechanisms in depth as well as the quantitative impacts of innovation. This study recommends strengthening ecosystems that support creativity and innovation through training, technical assistance, and cross-sector collaboration. Thus, creativity and innovation constitute fundamental pillars that can drive entrepreneurial success and growth in facing dynamic market challenges.
