Analisis Hubungan Volume, Kecepatan dan Kerapatan Lalu Lintas di Jalan Yos Sudarso

This study aims to analyze the relationship between traffic volume (Q), speed (V), and density (D) using the Greenberg Method on the KL Yos Sudarso Road section in Medan City. The Greenberg Method is used to determine traffic flow characteristics and determine road capacity and saturation levels based on actual conditions in the field, thereby providing a realistic picture of the performance of this road section. The analysis results show that the degree of saturation (DS) is approaching saturation, indicating that the road section is nearing its maximum capacity and is prone to congestion, especially during rush hours. In addition, the capacity calculation results using the Greenberg Method showed values that did not match the basic road capacity, reflecting disturbances to traffic performance, such as illegal parking, shop activities, and other side obstacles that affected the smooth flow of vehicles. These findings indicate that Jalan KL Yos Sudarso requires the immediate and planned implementation of traffic management measures, such as regulating parking on the road, managing traffic flow, and improving road facilities and surveillance. With these measures, it is hoped that congestion can be reduced and road performance can be improved in a sustainable manner.
